In my opinion there are two types of storytelling. The first type of storytelling is a way of communicating and has been around for centuries. It uses words and drawings to entertain, or inform the people around us. SO EASY, A CAVEMAN CAN DO IT! The second type of storytelling would be lying. Making up some crazy story to either avoid getting into trouble or in order protect someone.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you. However, I think there is more to storytelling than just protecting somebody and avoiding getting in trouble, they could be telling a story for entertainment value. I think your right about the two different types of storytelling though.

ReplyDeleteStorytelling, the epitome of my sorrows. Why is lying called storytelling? And so easy a caveman can do it, so true. My two year old primo can tell a story; however it takes years of practice to master the art of storytelling.
