The idea is to write it so that people hear it and it slides through the brain and goes straight to the heart. -Maya Angelou

Posterous Plan was COOKed...
Our group went to talk to the head boss of the school and we got turned down. We were told "It's not like you guys are Save the Whales or anything." Im definitely not trying to save whales, although I do adore them, but helping the community out and trying to beautify the world is just as important. I think that helping raise money to buy ill children gifts for Christmas is a good idea. If your gonna try and save whales, shouldn't there be some whales near by. I'd like to know where the nearest whale is? Shamu doesnt' count either. They must have whales in the Belton Lake then. I could've swore I saw one crossing the Belton Dam yesterday...not! I don't appreciate being compared to a whale. Before you say no to an idea you should take the time to hear someone out. We are not alone...other groups with extraordinary ideas were turned down as well. Belton High School is ridiculous sometimes. You would think that people would be happy we're trying to better and help out with our community, guess not. :\
Mr.Brock - Day 4
Today Mr.Brock put his foot down and decided that he was gonna enforce school rules. He told us that we needed to get busy on our work because we had procrastinated the day before. (Note: the day before he told us that we were the quietest class he's had. We actually did our work.) We tried to tell him that he was getting us confused with the previous class. He wasn't having it though, so we just keep our mouths shut. Later on during class he asked us "Does anyone know when the last public execution was?" [class just looked at him with confusion], needless to say, the rest of the day he kept us off topic and distracted us from our work. The last few minutes of class, we discussed his eyesight. How he has a cataract in his good eye, but in the other eye he's blind. Intersting. Question(s):Why do you wear glasses if your half blind, and how do you see, or drive? Can you say, Dangerous!
Mr. Brock - Day 3
"Mr. Brock can I go to the restroom?"
"zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............"
"Okay, well I'm just gonna take the pass."
[door closes and Mr. Brock wakes up]
"I've gotta stop reading so I don't fall asleep, it's too quite in here"
[class laughs]

Mr.Brock - Day 2
Mr.Brock: [on the phone] Can I get someone to relieve me? Thank you.
Approximately 5 to 10 minutes later....
Alexis: Hey Mr.Brock, did everything come out alright?
Mr.Brock: Your funny, why as a matter of fact, no it didn't. I like that you have a sense of humor. Everyone needs a good laugh every now and then.
[class laughs]
Alexis: Oh, I'm sorry.

Mr. Brock- Day 1
There is a point in every substitute's life when they realize they need to retire. Mr. Brock, unfortunately hasn't had this eye opening experience. He just keeps on coming back. I don't exactly know how old he is, but I know his numbers are pretty up there since him and Mr. Alford were talking about the wars they were in last year. During my years of high school I've noticed several things about Mr. Brock, they are as follow;
1. He likes to sleep.
2.He is most likely to bring up a random conversation. (Does anyone know when the last public execution was?)
3.Bathroom breaks are required frequently
4.He's nice, but can also be very mean when you make him angry.
5.Not much of a talker, but will wander around the room to see what your doing.
Keep these things in mind next time you have him as a sub.

Crime vs. Punishment
Crime and punishment seem to go hand in hand. However, I think sometimes the punishment given to the crime is unjust. I mean that if someone murdered someone and another person was caught on possesion charges, and the person with possesion recieved a longer sentence than the murderer that isn't right. I understand the world isn't fair, I think though the punishments given should be thought over before being given. Sometimes people are wrongly accused of a crime they did not commit, and are put in jail. Technology has helped us in over the past thirty years though to keep this from happening more frequently. The criminal justice system is getting better, but we all need to learn not to overlook any little bit of evidence recieved.
Crime and Punishment
I feel bad for Raskolnikov, part of me thinks he knew murdering the pawnbroker was bad, while another part thinks he wasn't mentally stable and didn't know what he was doing. I know he had good intentions but that doesn't always lead to good decisions. He made the situation worst for himself and now he must pay the consequences. You do the crime, you pay the time.
